Sian FiddimoreSian Fiddimore was inspired to take to the stage aged 5 after watching Frankie Howerd in a Pantomime in Richmond many, many years ago – she went straight home and took all the cushions off the sofa, created a performance area with the living room curtains and reinacted the whole show for her grandmother!

She was indeed bitten by the bug and spent several years performing with various children and youth theatre companies and in school drama productions before moving to Edinburgh aged 18 to pursue a career in community arts and performing annually at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Moving Parts Theatre Company.

Her ‘day job’ moved her away from a professional acting career and she focussed her attentions on working within the Third Sector in education and employment, encouraging people to raise their aspirations and follow their dreams…this got the better of her in 2011 when she realised that she needed to practise what she preached.

Following her own dream she moved to New York City and spent a year training to be an actor at HB Studio – an experience that resulted in so much more than just new skills.

Back in Edinburgh Sian is the Chair and a performer with Moving Parts Theatre Company and provides Acting Technique workshops based on her learning, is a performer with Arkle Theatre Company and brings short stories and monologues to life with DJMac. She is now pursuing her professional acting career and living her dream!

In April 2013 see Sian in Boston Marriage.
